Petty Crimes 03:23
We met on the stairwell whilst painting our names on the wall
. You hardly noticed as I put mine over yours
. The cold conditions were a perfect alibi
 To shuffle closer
 and hear you say -
Oh no,
 Not here,
Not now,
Oh hell.
How was I s’posed to know
that you’d never kissed a girl before?
Where were we s’posed to go
to make you feel safe?
You held my hand so tight
'cause you thought you’d get in trouble boy. Then I heard you cry
as your friends gave chase -
Oh no,
Not me,
Not now,
Oh help.

As we got older
we started drinking in the streets
. I hardly noticed
as you chose me over wine
. How were you s’posed to know
that I’d never been in love before?
Your words were chemical
, such as with alcohol -
Oh no,
Just me,
Just now,
Oh hell.
With such uncertainty
how can we trust the mind,
Our age, the time of year
 and all these petty crimes?

Tumble 04:45
We chanced upon the moment whilst swaying in the dark,
Under a burst of red neon like blood rushing from the stars,
We touched - hip to hip.
You spoke, I bit your lip. The cold stone along the pavement gave haste to my heels
And the contours of your palm were like lines sketched so fine. So I took you to my chamber for a little tumble:
Nothing more than that, just our bones bound to crumble
In lust - hip to hip -
You drank, I took a sip. Forgive me if I kiss you, forgive me if I confess,
My pulse won't forsake me; my intentions are the best.
What I'd give to come to know you. Forgive me as you lay me, forgive me as you undress.
I need no liquid courage, but I’ll have some nonetheless.
Yeah there’s plenty of time to be sober when we’re older. To the Bed Dancer, skin washed in wine,
Head is just a way to break the ice.
To the Romancer, all torn with fright,
Hands are just a means to hold on tight. She told me she used to look up to her father,
But the turn of his coat meant that she never mattered
 To him. So her
Faith in men was lost. He stood in the dark as I chose to roll over.
There was more than just heartache hidden amongst
Those sheets. For me
A fuck is just a fuck. To the Bed Dancer, all washed in wine,
Head is just a way to be polite.
To the Romancer, all torn inside,
Tongues are just a means to say ‘Goodnight’.

Long Weekend 03:50
It started off as any other day
With the end of the previous day.
But this was different, it was fresh and forlorn.
It was cold, it was warm, it was cold, it was warm. I found my movements to be a beautiful equation
That I could spend my life, my time, rearranging.
So, out for the weekend. So out of my head.
The liquid deciphering the words that you said. Surely not, surely not.
The patterns emerged and described what we saw.
I forgot, I forgot
Which shapes form you and which do not. I could bleed if, if I need to.
What’s the point in covering wounds that aren’t seen to?
It ended up like no other day;
The blanket of night brought us out to play. Our decisions were chemical reactions,
We ignored the temptation to believe more than that.
So much for the weekend, our time spent in bed.
The sunlight devising what I should have said. Surely not, surely not.
The patterns emerged and I know what I saw.
I forgot, I forgot
Why children do play and adults do not.
I forgot, I forgot
That the days were shorter on a long weekend. By the way, I forgot to say
‘I was in love with you’, yesterday. You were seeing things I could never see right.
Chose your friends and never chose mine.
If people don’t dance then they won’t drift apart.
A hand in a hand is always the start. You said
, ‘Darling I want you to ever be mine.
Darling I need you from time to time.’
Darling I left you when you could not defend.
Darling I left you for this Long weekend. Warm, it was cold, it was warm.
It was cold, it was warm, it was cold,
It was so very warm. By the way, I forgot to say
‘I was in love with you yesterday.’

Rex 03:15
Rex you are a grown up. That gives you confidence in breathing.
Well educated and still curious,
You’ve got confidence in reading But, whether you know
 That you’re never too old
To win her heart above the rest, You mustn’t partake In this broken debate.
Leave it be; let it die. Oh it is the way it has to be.
No, it has to be the way it is.
I f you scatter your sins by the day,
You can’t return to gather them. Rex you kissed a grown up.
It gives you confidence in breeding.
You might regret it but you’re curious -
You show your confidence this evening:
 You’re ever so bold
 And she’ll never need told
You’ll win her heart above the rest.
He sang, 'It’s never too late
For these hands to bare weight.
If you forgive, I’ll forget'. Memories don’t stay for the praise,
There’s no need to chase her:
Just reason with her Rex. You’re ever so bold
And she’ll never need told
You’ll win her heart above the rest.
He sang, 'It’s never too late
For these hands to bare weight.
If you forgive, I’ll forget.'

Submerge 02:09
…and the fabrics we're made of will come to their end. The numbers within us will softly descend. Littlebones, don't wake now it's early. Now we've gathered all the rain, We'll return it to the sea. Older, not sober, the patterns emerged. They leaned in and kissed me, left to submerge. Littlebones, don't wake up it's early. The shadows are sweeping up the streets, Sleep now, Littlebones.
